SK Square (CEO Kim Jung-kyu, www.sksquare.com) announced its 2026 2Q earnings with a consolidated* operating income of KRW 19.2354 trillion and a net income of KRW 18.675 trillion, which marked the highest quarterly earnings.
*2026 2Q (based on the consolidated financial statements): Revenue 328.5 billion

As of 2026 1H, the company’s operating income reached KRW 27.5137 trillion with a net income of KRW 27.0498 trillion. Its operating income and net income grew about 8 times YoY*, reaching an all-time high for the first half.
*2025 1H (based on the consolidated financial statements): Operating Income KRW 3054.3 billion, Net Income KRW 3059.4 billion

This achievement reflects SK Square’s focus on AI and semiconductor portfolios and corporate value-up efforts including constant shareholder return, along with strong earnings of SK Hynix.

Based on the closing price of August 13th, 2026, the market capitalization of SK Square reached KRW 145 trillion, which is 6 times higher than its market cap as of the end of 2025 2Q (approximately KRW 24 trillion). SK Square also rose from the 23rd to the 3rd* place YoY in terms of market capitalization on KOSPI.
*Excluding Samsung Electronics’ preferred shares

Meanwhile, NAV (Net Asset Value) discount rate, one of SK Square’s key indicators in its Corporate Value-Up Plan*, reduced to 38% based on the closing price as of August 13th, 2026. It represents a significant improvement from the end of 2025 2Q (50.1%). NAV discount rate refers to the gap between the equity value of the portfolio held by a holding company and the actual share price (market capitalization) of the holding company. The lower the NAV discount rate, the more fully the market is recognizing the holding company’s corporate value.
*Corporate Value-Up Plan: ▲ Reduce NAV discount rate to 30% or lower by 2028 ▲ Realize ROE (Return of Equity) higher than COE (Cost of Equity) by 2026-2028 ▲ Achieve PBR (Price Book-Value Ratio) of 1 or higher by 2028.

SK Square accelerated its portfolio rebalancing in the first half of this year to concentrate more on AI and semiconductor portfolios. The company sold its stake in the digital advertising company ‘Incross’ and the mobile app marketplace ‘ONE Store’ to SK Networks and Nexus respectively in January and June 2026.

SK Square has also provided constant shareholder return. Last month, the company cancelled its own shares of KRW 40 billion that were bought back in the first half of this year. It plans to buy back and cancel additional shares of KRW 70 billion by the beginning of next year. SK Square has implemented shareholder return through buyback and cancellation of its own shares since 2023.

As a next step in its corporate value-up journey, SK Square aims to accelerate AX (AI transition) in its organization, while making continued investment in AI and semiconductor sectors.

SK Square is currently exploring meaningful investment opportunities in the semiconductor value chains, while executing preemptive investment in AI and semiconductor companies based in the US and Japan through its overseas investment firm ‘TGC Square.’ SK Square plans to enhance its corporate value as an investment holding company specialized in semiconductors, by implementing new investment and shareholder return.

In the beginning of this year, SK Square carried out an organizational restructuring to create an ‘AI Innovation’ team that will utilize AI to bring innovation to the company’s investment activities and the services provided by its portfolio companies. As an example, the company adopted an AI agent in its investment and portfolio value-up process, in order to improve productivity and thereby strengthen the fundamental competitiveness of the company through AI transition.

“We will proactively engage with our shareholders to improve our corporate value, while driving AX-enabled innovation and new investment in the semiconductor sector,” said Kim Jung-kyu, the CEO of SK Square.
